Tester build 0.1.0
Download Bleegax
One download, nothing else to install. Bleegax runs on your computer and opens in your browser; your notes are read there and never leave it.

This is an early build for testers: things will change, and a new build may ask you to add your notes again. By downloading you accept the tester terms. A Mac version comes later.
The first run
- Unpack the download to a folder of its own. On Windows: right-click the zip, Extract All…, then open the
Bleegaxfolder. - Start it. Windows: double-click
Bleegax.cmd(Windows may warn that the app is unrecognised: More info, then Run anyway). Linux: run./bleegax.sh. A window opens; it is Bleegax running. Close it to stop Bleegax. - Choose a model. Your browser opens a page that asks how much to fetch, and suggests one for your computer. It is fetched once, into Bleegax's own folder.
- Add your notes. The map opens empty: Add data takes files, folders or a zip of exports from Google Keep, Apple Notes, Evernote, OneNote, Obsidian, Word, PDF and more.
Which model
A language model reads each note and writes down what it is about and what its writer is trying to do; that is what lets Bleegax link notes worded differently. It runs on your computer, through Ollama. If Ollama is already installed with the model, Bleegax uses it and fetches nothing.
| Choice | Fetched on first run | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Full | Ollama (1.5 GB) and gemma4:latest, qwen2.5:3b (11.5 GB) | A graphics card with 10 GB or more. The best topic names and the most connections |
| Small | Ollama (1.5 GB) and qwen2.5:3b (1.9 GB) | Most laptops. Plainer names, still links by meaning |
| No model | Nothing | Trying it out, or an older computer. Topics named by their key words |
Without a graphics card everything still works; describing notes is slower and runs in the background while you use the map.
What you need
| System | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; or Linux on x86-64 (glibc 2.28 or newer: Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 10, Fedora 29 and later) |
|---|---|
| Memory | 8 GB; 16 GB for the Full model |
| Disk | About 1.5 GB for Bleegax, plus the model you choose (up to 13 GB) |
| Graphics card | Optional. For the Full model: 10 GB of video memory (NVIDIA; recent AMD cards work through Ollama too) |
| Browser | Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with WebGL |
Your privacy
Nothing of yours leaves your computer. Bleegax reads your notes and runs its model locally. It has no account, sends no usage data and makes no network requests of its own, apart from the one-time download of Ollama (from github.com) and the model (from ollama.com) on first run.
Your sessions are stored in Bleegax's folder on your computer (where). Delete that folder and the unpacked download to remove every trace.
Tester terms
This is a pre-release build for testers, provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Please don't pass it on. Sessions made with it may not open in later builds: when a build says so, add your notes again. Problems and ideas are very welcome: get in touch.
